Boiler noises when off

The boiler makes odd noises randomly, when it is off. We’ve had it serviced and it works fine, but I’m unsure where the noise comes from or if I should worry about it. It’s not a consistent noise, sometimes it sounds like something banging the pipes, sometimes it’s chugging. Today it sounds like cogs are being cranked?
