Cartridges.

I need a new cartridge for my shower. I have paid a plumber who was hopeless. He hasn’t even tried to match the cartridge.

Hi,

Many thanks for your concealed shower repair enquiry.

We would budget in the region of £200 – £300 + Vat to replace a faulty part in a concealed shower valve. However, in this case, it’s impossible to be sure hence the relatively large range without 1st identifying the part.

If this falls within your expectations, we would be pleased to arrange a site survey to remove and photograph the part from all angles so we can share it with a range of suppliers to try and identify its direct replacement. A shower site survey costs £75 +VAT and is payable at the end of the visit.

On rare occasions the faulty part can be seized in position and thus removing them can risk damaging the shower or cartridge further your engineer will discuss this if it happens on-site.

On rare occasions, the cartridge may be an obsolete part, in which case we would look to provide you for a quote for a new shower valve completely.
