There is no exact time frame for a rewire but wiring over 30 years may need some upgrading, at least in part. This may include changing the fuse box with a state-of-the-art consumer unit. If you can check the wiring and notice the wire cable is coated in rubber and not PVCu coated, then it’s usually a sign of really old wiring and a rewire is recommended. Having your property checked every 10 years is good advice, to keep abreast of any additions and or changes to building regulations.
